Let's Have a Smart Coffee Break Together!

As many of you know, I like writing. And I have already started a blog about Romanian national values. However, many of my international friends and aquaintances were disappointed for not being able to read my blog, or for only understanding a few words here and there.

Therefore, what have I thought? To get bigger, better, and international. How? With another project close to my heart.  "Culture Coffee Break" is about good cultural and social practices worldwide, and I hope many of you will give me a hand at staying informed in connection with whatever is happening on all sides of the world and is worth mentioning. I believe that whichever city or country we come from, a good story can be found anywhere.

"Globalization" is a word we have a "love and hate" relationship with, but whether we like it or not, this phenomenon is taking more and more space in our lives every day. And it is definitely good to find out how certain societies handle it with successful results. On the flip side, this globalized society has also become home to always bigger social issues, but in certain places and by certain means, these can be kept under control.  We have to discover what is positive, and what can be done in order to at least try to make this world better. It's not much that one person can do, but I believe in the power of sharing knowledge and exchanging information. I will not be talking about politics and economy, because we need positive information. ;) And in my opinion, cultural and social practices often go hand in hand, and besides, they are available to everyone, all the time.

You can call me an idealist, but I believe that every small step ahead counts, and that all we have to do is try to discover and apply those practices that work and are good.  Sometimes we need to make a bigger effort, but I am sure that we will often find something good to share. Therefore, I invite you all to follow me on this  "intellectual" coffee-break, which most probably I will literally offer while drinking my coffee. And of course, you are free to suggest any topic that you like. Let's undo the evils of society together!
